LOVE-TOMATIC STUDIO

‘SAY CHEESE !!! IT’S AUTOMATIC LOVE STUDIO’

This project was about a surprise that would put a smile on moms’ face and make another year of good memories that would last with them forever. It all started with realizing mom and her children or family members usually get shy trying to do sweet little things for each other. Why is that? We couldn’t’ help but laugh, seeing them so timid to do nice things. This gave us the idea; it should be fun to do something to help people tell their moms they love them on Mother’s day.

The concept based on what mothers and her children like to do together. We discovered they liked taking photos to show each other off to other people. But just taking photos would be a bit too boring. They had to express their love to get the photo they want to get.

We planned the project with smile on our faces. We built a mechanic into it, adding in a situation they couldn’t avoid.

All these elements made up LOVE-TOMATIC STUDIO!!! The shutter inside the photobooth/studio would only get triggered once the love vibe in the booth reached the highest level, the Love Detector Indicator would detect and trigger the shutter to capture mom and her daughter/son.

We enhanced the cuteness by hiding narrator team behind the monitor screen to narrate each pair of mom and her children.  We referred to them all by their real names. We also complimented them in a very specific way making them smile with this surprise. We can say this is one of our favorite projects of all time.

For art direction, mood and tone of the set, we wanted it to come out as experimental. So the element of the set was more digitalized, crisp, contemporary and not-too-cheesy. This we thought was quite unique, portraying moms as fun, modern and outgoing.   

This project scope was very wholesome, from communication media, design and setting up the studio and system work, including managing the activities to welcome customers. It was a very enjoyable project for us.
